Frequently Asked Questions – All Weather Roof Replacement in Stockton

Getting Started

Is All Weather Roofing licensed, bonded, and insured?

We are a licensed roofing contractor (license #734515, California Contractors State License Board). We are bonded and carry all required insurance including workers’ compensation insurance. We have 25 years of experience as a licensed roofing contractor in Stockton, CA. We are your best choice for roof replacement in stockton.

Can you provide me a price over the phone?

Every roof repair or roof replacement project is different. We really need to look at your roof to evaluate its condition and diagnose your roof problems. Give us a call at 209-474-0258 to discuss your roofing needs and schedule a time for us to look at your roof and provide you with a free estimate for the roof replacement in stockton.

Is a free estimate the same as a roof inspection?

No, they are different.

We offer two types of free estimates. A roof repair estimate is a quote to fix a specific issue like a leak. A roof replacement estimate is a quote for installing a new roof.

A roof inspection is one of the roofing services we offer. We inspect your roof and provide you with a report that describes the condition of your roof as well as any issues we find.

Our price for roof inspections depends on your building type and size, and on your roof type. Customers often hire us to do an inspection when they are buying or selling a home or commercial property. Give us a call at 209-474-0258 to discuss your needs.

What should I know before getting a roof replacement?

First, you will want to be sure to work with an experienced roofing contractor who has a license “in good standing” with the California Contractors State License Board. You should verify their license number and license status before you sign a contract or give them any money.

Second, you absolutely need to work with a roofing company that provides you with a detailed contract that describes all of the work that will be done, your total price, and the payment schedule for your roofing project.

If you have any doubts or concerns about a roofing company or their contract, be sure to get a second opinion. All Weather Roofing is happy to take a look at the contract before you sign it to point out any red flags and help you make the best decision for your home or commercial property.

Roof Replacement (Tear-offs & Overlays)

What is the difference between a roof tear-off and a roof overlay?

Both are considered roof replacements or reroofs. In a tear-off, we “tear off” (remove) all of the old roofing material. It’s kind of like you’d tear out your old carpet before having a new carpet installed.

A roof overlay means that we install a layer of new roofing materials over your existing roof.

Both tear-offs and overlays are installed by our Reroof Department.

How do I know if I need a new roof or just repairs?

Call us at 209-474-0258 to discuss your roofing issues and to schedule a free estimate. We really need to look at your roof and its overall condition before we can explain your options for eliminating roof leaks and any roof damage that you have.

Some clues that you might need a new roof are missing shingles, cracks in your roofing materials, deterioration of the shingles, areas of the roof that are sagging, drainage issues, and ponding water.

Each roofing product manufacturer offers their own standard warranty on their products. Manufacturers often offer upgraded warranty plans that you can purchase. Call us for more details.

What is the average wait time for a roof installation?

The wait time for a roof installation depends on several factors, including the time of the year, the availability of your selected roofing materials, and the weather (rain, or heat and wind advisories). In some locations, it takes longer to get permits and inspections for roofing projects.

At times, we are able to start a roof installation within a week. In the winter, the wait can be several months. Give us a call to check our availability.

Can you replace my roof in winter?

Yes, we do roof replacements in winter. However, your project could be delayed due to forecasted weather. Winter can be a busy time for us—especially during the rainy season—and we are often booked solid. The earlier you get on our schedule the better. Contact us for the best roof replacement in stockton — we're always happy to help!

What is the best time of year to replace my roof?

We can replace your roof any time of the year. But we encourage you to get on our schedule as soon as you realize that you need to replace your roof. Please keep in mind that the closer we get to the rainy season, the busier our schedule is.

Can you install a new roof if I have skylights?

Yes. When we do the estimate for your roof replacement, we will also look at the condition of your skylights and let you know if they need to be repaired or replaced. If you want to get rid of your skylights, we can remove them and a roof over the skylight openings.

Can you install a new roof if I have solar panels?

Yes. We can work with your solar company to coordinate the installation of your new roof. The solar contractor will be responsible for removing your solar energy system before we begin your project. Once we are done, your solar contractor can then reinstall your solar energy system.
